A 21-year-old man has been caught out after avoiding a drink driving ban by giving his brothers details to both police and court.

After being found out, he will now have to face justice.

According to Metro:

Zuhir Nassrat, 21, lied after being pulled over when he was spotted driving erratically down Deansgate in Manchester City Centre following a night out with friends.

He continued the charade in court but police were tipped off four months later and he was arrested again.

Judge Anthony Cross QC told him: ‘The consequence has been that your brother, who works overseas and has got a degree and managed to find a job, his good name has literally been dragged through the courts by you.

After appearing at court for the drink driving offence he was given a 12-month driving ban and ordered to pay £205.

However, after admitting to perverting the course of justice he was given a three-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months, banned from driving for 18 months and told to pay £510 costs.
