According to the Daily Mail:
One rider rammed the motorcyclist, knocking him off his vehicle before another scooter roared up and the pillion passenger leaped off to attack their target with a crash helmet and what looked like a bike chain.
The shocking incident happened on September 3 on Bristol Road in Bristol at around 12.45 p.m., according to police and involved a delivery driver in his 30s.
CCTV footage of the attempted bike-jacking was posted by a group called Stolen Motorcycle Recovery London on its Facebook page to highlight the level of violence used to steal motorbikes.
Posting on Facebook last night the group said, ‘We are lost for words.’
The incident captured on CCTV shows a motorbike rider riding down the street when he is rammed by a man on a motorbike coming the other way.
As the second scooter arrives and its passenger begins his attack, the brave victim puts up a fight.
At one point he leaps on top of his bike to stop it from being taken, knocking the thief to the ground.
The gang try repeatedly to take the victim’s bike, pushing and hitting the victim who fights back, throwing them onto the ground every time they try and steal his bike.
The victim dramatically skids along the pavement as he makes a final attempt to stop the assailants from escaping.
The gang eventually makes off, two on a bike, one scarpering on foot as more people arrive on the scene.
