Football fans making their way to the Liverpool Vs Everton game this evening were delayed after a man was seen allegedly putting his testicles onto a car bonnet.
According to reports, the incident in the Tuebrook area took place at a time when many people were heading towards Anfield for the match.
Police have said that a young male has been taken to hospital as a precaution due to being detained under the Mental Health Act.
According to The Mirror:
A naked man put his testicles on a car bonnet in front of shocked drivers, causing delays ahead of the Merseyside Derby.
Police detained the man, who was described as being in his late 20s, at 4pm on West Derby Road in Tuebrook, and have taken him to hospital as a precaution.
An eye-witness told the Liverpool ECHO: “I honestly can’t believe I have seen that driving home. I was driving along the stretch by Iceland and he was running along the carriageway.
“I thought he was wearing a beige outfit to be honest. But then he ran out in front of a line of traffic.
“He put his parts on the bonnet of the car next to me. I have never seen anything like it.
“Everyone was beeping, I drove past him and when I looked back, he was bent over with his bottom in the air looking between his legs at the traffic.”
