A man has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after two men were injured in a collision at Brighton Marina, Sussex Police said on 4 November.
Police were called to the area outside Hollywood Bowl at about 10.30pm on Friday 30 October 2026. The force said two men, aged 22 and 30, were injured when a black Range Rover hit them and that the driver left the scene.
Police said Bradley Bell, 29, of Three Bridges, was charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 4 November. The force’s update does not report the outcome of the hearing. A charge is an allegation and does not establish guilt.
A 45-year-old man arrested earlier in the investigation was released on bail pending further enquiries. A second man, aged 29, was arrested on 2 November, before the charge was announced. The force’s wording as reported does not say whether he is the man charged. Detective Inspector Jenny Pietersen said police believe the incident was isolated and that they are not seeking other suspects.
Police appeal for footage
Sussex Police continues to ask witnesses and anyone with information or footage of the incident, or of the Range Rover in the area, to come forward if they have not already done so. Information can be reported to the force online, quoting Operation Stargate.
Anyone who holds a relevant recording should keep the original file and its time information and follow the force’s instructions. The court process should not be prejudged. The police statement gives no later medical update on the injured men.
